  1. Rhal scored 3.5 points and was tied for 14th to 21st place losing to 2nd placer Macapagal of LICS and 3rd placer Yanzon. After the tie-break points, he landed on 20th place.

But his performance was the best among MERALCO kids (Pia Casiano - 3 pts, JD Moje - 3, Andrei Fernandez - 2.5, Michael Lirazan - 2, Aleksei Fernadez - 2) and won the special award, a gold medal for BEST PLAYER of MERALCO.

  3. aside from the gold, rhal also received a p500 cash incentive from meralco. if i am not mistaken, this is the fourth time that he received a cash prize: 300 in dizon memorial cup 2008 for making the top 10, 500 for the battle of jr meralco gm's for being the champion, 300 for the 1st pace kiddies for making the top 10.

  4. BTW, Rhal played in the Grade School Division. The High School version for Best MERALCO Player was won by Paul Casiano who scored 4 points.
