MERALCO CHESS CLUB held its first workshop by Grandmaster Bong Villmayor for the year of the tiger attended by a handful of kids; Raymund Masa, Rav Villaflor, Tim dela Cruz, Earl Cabugao & Rhal Sol Cruz.
The topic was a out the basic endgame which covers the Lucena position, triangulation, shouldering, opposition, etc.
After the lecture by GM Bong Villamayor, NM Mirabeu Maga took-over by supervising a rapid tourney among the participants with the ff results:

Although this was the first for the year of the Tiger, this was actually the second in the series.
