After an hour of play, Rhal registered 7 wins for a clean sweep in his second simul play. The first was in Tahanan Walang Hagdanan in Cainta. The event was arranged by Arsenia Mendoza-San Juan of Ibaba, Paete, Laguna.
On the next year, Rhal conducted another simul, a bigger and better version with 11 boards and the invited players from different public schools in Paete receiving a free specially designed Salibanda red shirt, chess material, and snacks courtesy of Rhal's savings.
