The Hungarian Defense (3... Be7) is Rhal's weapon vs the Italian Opening. This was recommended by NM Andrew Vasquez in 2009 after the Shell NCR in their training session.

ReplyDeleteThis chasing of W's B at c4 is a recommendation of NM Ed Agagon in one of Rhal's training session based on the "principle" that a B is slightly of higher value than a N.
However, in this position, Rybka's top recommendation is 11... Bxf3 which gives Black an advantage (-0.72).
