    Ople, a 3rd year HS student, won over GM Wesley So in the Maging Sino Ka Man Fund-Raising Simul at Meralco.

    After 28 Kh2, Rhal could have trapped the White N with 28... f5.

    One must always be on the lookout to attack unprotected enemy pieces. I think this is the Botvinnik's Law.

    After 31 Bxf5, Rhal could have won outright with 31... gxf5 +- to be followed by 32... e4 and 35... Be5.

    After 33 Rg4, Rhal can simply capture the pawn with 33... Qxf2 +-.
